Overview
Scout leaders spend hours every week planning meetings, inventing games and writing quiz questions — work that follows patterns but still demands domain knowledge about knots, badges, outdoor skills and age-appropriate activities.
Scouts AI is a conversational assistant built for that domain. It generates complete meeting plans, camp schedules, physical and mental games, and interactive quiz challenges from a short description, and stores everything in a shared library.
The problem
Planning a scout meeting from scratch takes real time: the leader needs games that match the age group, activities that teach a specific skill, and a schedule that fits the session length.
Generic AI tools can brainstorm, but they do not know scouting vocabulary, badge requirements, or how to structure a two-day camp with the right mix of indoor and outdoor activities.
What I built
A purpose-built assistant grounded in scouting knowledge — it understands patrol structures, badge progressions, knot types, camp logistics and age-group constraints out of the box.
Beyond chat, a dedicated challenge builder lets leaders create interactive quizzes with AI-generated or manual questions, adjustable difficulty and age groups, exportable to PDF or playable live with a team.
How it works
The path a single request takes through the system.
- 01
Describe the need
A leader types a request — 'plan a 2-day camp for Cubs aged 7–11' or 'give me a scout game' — and the assistant generates a structured plan.
- 02
Generate or refine
Plans, games and schedules are generated with scouting-specific detail: age groups, difficulty, duration, materials, and learning objectives.
- 03
Build challenges
The challenge builder creates interactive quizzes — AI-generated or manual — with difficulty levels, age groups, and multiple question types.
- 04
Play live or export
Challenges can be played in real time with a team or exported to PDF for offline use.
- 05
Save to library
Every plan, game and challenge is saved to a shared library, searchable and reusable across sessions.
